I hate to call OK Joe’s ‘average’ but that corn was abysmal so the rating had to drop. I’ve never had a problem with Joe’s food but they need to get rid of the corn or find a supplier and kitchen prep process that ensures your diners are getting a fantastic ear of corn every time. Inside the small husks it got worse - one ear had virtually no edible kernels! Someone in the kitchen failed to do any quality sorting when the sweet corn came in and we paid the price. Based on their size (with husks still attached) I knew there was trouble. We received 3 small ears wrapped in cellophane. It was high-priced but I hoped it would be worth the price. The corn was an incredible disappointment. The sandwiches were delicious and the beans are always the ‘best on the planet’. I saw on their marquee that sweet corn was available so we added a few ears of corn to our Father’s Day dinner takeout order of specialty sandwiches and a quart of beans. We have been to OK Joe’s many times and always enjoy both the meat and the sides. such a sad waste of my time as a senior citizen to deal with a disrespecful child you have managing this location i still would love to try okjoes, but i am back in Norman OK having to choke down billy simms bbq. this kid manager did nothing and just wanted me OUT of his restaraunt.
i walked out very mad, very hungry and feeling very disrespected. this POS manager then told me he "FIXED" the problem by refunding my money.
